I’m so anxious about the upcoming season finale because I know that someone is going to die. The doctors will be in a horrible plane crash (season 8 finale promo), and it’s a sure thing that one character’s going to get killed off as confirmed by Shonda Rhimes. I hope it’s neither Lexie nor Mark. My fan girl heart won’t be able to take it. ;_; Waaah, I’m too invested in these fictional characters.

This MTV comedy-drama revolves around 15-year-old Jenna Hamilton. She’s not exactly the school loser but she’s not one of the popular kids either. I’d say she’s just the “normal girl” who goes unnoticed at school. Ashley Rickards plays her character. You may remember her from One Tree Hill as Sam, the teenager whom Brooke took in.
Jenna’s life started to change during summer camp when Matty McKibben, the popular jock, seemed to have wanted her. She ended up losing her virginity to him in the utility closet.
Things took a turn when she had an accident and people thought she tried to kill herself. Her unsightly arm cast didn’t help the situation.
Everybody started noticing her and she gained popularity thus the sudden influx of her social networking friend invites.
Anyway, Matty still wanted her but “complications” will begin to arise partly because they aren’t DTR (define the relationship)-ing.
Meanwhile, Jake Rosati who is Matty’s bestfriend also starts to take interest in Jenna. Haba ng hair mo girl, ipagupit na yan! He is such a genuinely nice guy. He is seriously so nice it hurts.
Of course a teen show wouldn’t be complete with the nasty people who make everybody’s lives miserable. Evil takes form in Sadie Saxton (girl on the right). She is an insecure skitch (skank + bitch) who eats her feelings and sees to it that Jenna’s life becomes a living hell. The blonde girl Lissa, a stereotypical ditsy cheerleader, is Jake’s girlfriend.
That’s basically the show’s plot. You’ll get all these and more from the pilot episode. I don’t want to spoil anything so go watch the show for yourself. I love Awkward.! WHAT IS KILIG!!!
Season 1 just wrapped up with 12 episodes and Season 2 will resume next year. You have time to catch up.
